1. Attendance Record: The Pathfinder must be present and on time to no less than 85% of the meetings and events.

2. Uniform and insignia: The Pathfinder must own a complete, clean and pressed uniform and wear it when required. He/She must know the meaning of the insignia.

3. Personal Appearance: The Pathfinder must be neat, clean, and well groomed and modestly dressed at all times.

4. Conduct: Through prayer, the Pathfinder must strive at all times to be courteous, kind, obedient, especially at home, in school, church, Pathfinder meetings and events.

5. Spiritual: The Pathfinder must make every effort to have daily personal devotions (Keep the Morning Watch), willingly seek to understand and apply Biblical principles learned by attending and participating during church and Sabbath School regularly.

6. Participation: Be an active member for at least one year. Attend all local club functions: hikes, camp outs, trips and projects. Attend all Conference-wide functions: Pathfinder Fair, Pathfinder Sabbath, camporees, etc.

7. Achievement: Be invested in the Pathfinder class level completed during the year. Complete one of the Pathfinder advanced class levels. Complete six honors within the Pathfinder year, one of which must be earned on the Pathfinder's own initiative.

8. Special: Perform an outstanding accomplishment during the year at school, church, or in the community approved by the Director. A report on this activity by the Pathfinder will be presented at Investiture.
